Today’s Women Behind the Scenes spotlight is shone on Writer-Producer Kathleen McGhee-Anderson.
In the 1980’s, Kathleen worked as a writer on such shows as Little House on the Prairie, Webster, Gimme a Break!, 227 and Amen.
Moving into the 1990’s, she worked as a writer on The Cosby Show in 1991 and then a few seasons later she worked as a writer and creative consultant on the popular CBS series Touched by An Angel and as a consulting producer and writer on South Central that same year.
Over the next few years, she worked as a writer on the short-lived series 413 Hope Street and as a consulting producer on Any Day Now. In 1998 she was the writer and co-producer on the made-for-TV movie The Color of Courage that starred Linda Hamilton and Lynn Whitfield.
From 2001 through 2004, she worked as a writer and consulting producer on Soul Food and most recently (2006 to 2009) she worked as the executive producer and writer on the ABC Family drama Lincoln Heights, which earned Outstanding Drama Series by the NAACP in 2010.
